Aviation-Event reveals to the world the true Gateway to Transylvania!
Cluj International Airport, the most important gateway to the north-western region of Romania, welcomes Aviation-Event for the 2nd edition in Romania.
As a first-class mid-size airport located in a full economic development region, with a special appetite for business & leisure traffic, Cluj International Airport has demonstrated the ability to take advantage of the potential of its catchment area and became, over the last decade, Romania’s Airport with the most spectacular increase in passenger traffic.
If in 1996 the airport’s development plans at a traffic level of 36,000 passengers seemed impossible to achieve for some, its dynamic management approach towards modernizing and developing the airport infrastructure over the last 25 years, led to reaching a historical threshold of 2.9 million passengers in 2019, and granted Cluj International Airport the worthy statute – model of good practices and landmark airport in South-Eastern Europe.
Aviation-Event 2023 CLJ will be held in one of the most vibrant European cities, with a multicultural environment, also named the ‘Heart of Transylvania’ not just because of its geographical position, but also for its role in the historical and economic development of the region. The city is one of the most important academic, cultural, industrial, and business centers in Romania, the second after the capital Bucharest.
